Okay, folks. 2010 Notices of Value have been mailed to all Mohave County property owners. The deadline to appeal your valuation is April 19, 2009.

A few of you have called or emailed already about appealing your assessed values, so I just wanted to drop a quick note to say I’m about 22.3% done putting together all the info for 2010. Keep an eye out over the next few days.

If you want to learn about the process, or if you have no idea what I’m talking about, you can catch up here and here.

Note that the assessed values have gone down in most cases – reportedly 25% across the board – so I am not suggesting we storm the county seat in Kingman in mass protest. Not at all. But if you genuinely feel that your assessed value is unfairly high, you have a statutory right to try to get it lowered.

I’ve been pretty busy lately, but I will have the tax stuff up for you very soon. Why not subscribe to Bullhead City Blog so you won’t miss a thing? If you’re not into RSS, you might want to have new posts emailed to you. It’s free.
