Check out this cool new home search tool for Bullhead City Blog readers!
iPhone users in the Bullhead City area can now find homes for sale from the local MLS using our free, map-based iPhone MLS app.
All you have to do to get started is download the free app from Apple’s App Store, fire it up, and enter my agent code (4080) to activate it.
This thing is really slick.
Find nearby homes with automatic location-based search
The screen shot above was taken right after I started up the app. You can see the iPhone automatically picked up my location (the blue orb), and placed it on the map along with homes for sale in the immediate area.
That’s alone is worth the price of admission (free), but it does a lot more. If you can’t wait to get started, go ahead and grab it now. The user friendly interface is very intuitive. If you want to see more features and screenshots, read on.
Get price, bedrooms, and baths with the touch of an icon
As mentioned above, the app will find your location and automatically display nearby listings. From there, you can slide the map around to other locations using your finger as would expect, or zoom in/out by “pinching” the screen using the built-in multi-touch technology.
Refresh the screen and the listings will repopulate based on the location shown on the screen.
Touch one of the house icons representing a home for sale and you’ll be shown the price, number of bedrooms, and number of bathrooms.
See photo and listing info with another touch
See the little blue and white arrow in the photo in the previous section to the right of the price? Touch that arrow to see more about that listing.
The first thing you’ll see is the address and main listing photo. The main photo is usually, but not always, the view of the property from the street.
Now that you have the address, the main photo, and a map, finding the house should be a breeze.
Of course you can always call or email me by clicking the link on the top of the screen if you want to schedule a showing.

To learn more about a particular listing after you’ve clicked on a house icon, just slide the screen down and you’ll see a detail screen which provides a description and summarizes some basic information.
If available for the particular listing, you’ll see a link for a Photo Gallery. This depends on the listing agent.
If the listing has more than one photo, you’ll see a link.
But wait, there’s more…
That should be enough to get you started. There are some other cool features, such as filtered searches and hybrid maps showing aerial photography. I’ll detail these and other features in a future post.

Important: When you first load the app it will ask you for an agent code. My code is 4080. Please make sure you enter this the first time you are asked and it shouldn’t bother you for it again.
