It’s been cold.

I spent the day yesterday across the river at the River Palms in Laughlin attending a fascinating tourism class as part of the Colorado River Leadership Program. We have some absolutely awesome people out there working very hard everyday to improve the Laughlin experience for vistors. More on that antoher day, but thank you Meg McDaniel of Laughlin Tourism Bureau and Jena Morga of Laughlin Tourism Committee!

Where was I? Oh yeah. It’s been cold.

In the photo above of the Colorado River Condominiums , which I shot from a conference room at the River Palms, you can see some white stuff on the mountains in the background (you may need to click for the larger image). I believe people in the cold country call this “snow.” Not something we are used to in this neck of the woods.

While it has been snowing in Kingman and Las Vegas, we haven’t seen it here in Bullhead City, but it’s been cold.

I showed a house this week at 4 pm in 41 degree weather. Yes, there are people across the country today that would love to warm up to 40 degrees, but understand that it was probably a full 75 degrees warmer at the same time of day just a few months ago.

And then it was even colder today. Here is a shot from my balcony this morning before I went outside to scrape ice from my windshield. You can see frost on the greenbelt and steam rising from the lake. Yikes!

This is hardly newsworthy compared to what other are going through, but man oh man…

It’s been cold.
