Chalk another month up to the humans. Bank-owned foreclosures accounted for less than half of the homes sold in Bullhead City for the second month in a row. Is this victory too small to acknowledge? I don’t think so.
It’s important for people to know that foreclosures are not the only thing selling in our area. This is not to say everyone should jump in the market and sell, sell, sell. Not at all. However, it’s looking a lot better today than it was just a few months ago in terms of foreclosure competition.
Remember, 69% of the homes sold in January were foreclosures, making the 45% share in April look a lot better. Bottom line, as I mentioned last month, it might be the right time to take another look at your options.
Notice thought that prices moved down in April on both sides of the fence, hitting banks and humans, site built homes and manufactured homes. Keep in mind that prices are a lagging indicator.
Because I’m getting this report up later than usual (still paying for that week in Washington DC), I’m able to peek at next month’s numbers and see that prices move back up in May.
